You will explore the Middle Ages firsthand through an exceptional collection of weapons, immersive scenarios, and spectacular reconstructions, both inside and outside.

Are visits to Castelnaud Castle adapted according to school level?

Yes, the facilitators adapt their approach to the students’ level. A specific program is offered to children aged 3 to 5, with activities and formats tailored to younger children.

How much time should be allowed for a full school visit to the Château de Castelnaud?

Allow approximately 1 hour for the self-guided tour. Activities last between 30 minutes and 1 hour 30 minutes. It is recommended to arrive at least 10 minutes before each activity.

Are students allowed to handle weapons or tools?

Yes, several workshops allow for the handling of weapons, armor, and tools. This is particularly true of the Crossbow, Builders, and Combat Equipment activities.

Is it possible to have a picnic near Castelnaud Castle?

Picnics are not permitted within the castle grounds. Tables are available nearby, notably near the bus parking area located approximately 500 meters away.
